After your Appointment

It is important that you follow any instructions given after your appointment to minimise any post-operative pain or discomfort. Post-operative instruction, leaflets and future appointment will be given or sent to you if necessary. It is the desire of the practice to finish all your necessary urgent dental treatment in one visit to avoid further appointment and reduce the number of visits. Your treatment time may be prolonged if there are more items to complete. Repeat appointments would increase the costs of Personal Protection Equiptment (PPE) and the risk of cross-infection or transmission. You can help to reduce the number of visits in this pandemic by,

  1. Looking after your teeth and gum. Brush your teeth twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste. Use dental floss and mouthwash daily to supplement your oral hygiene procedure.
  2. Avoiding sugary eats and soft drinks. Refined sugar is the main cause of tooth decay. Good oral hygiene measures will prevent gum disease.
  3. Starting from 1st of November, NHS statutory patient charges are payable.
  4. Springfield Dental Care.
